"Because there is development efficiency of Semanggi Interchange thus there is money left. The rest we will use to build pedestrian," he said, at City Hall, Wednesday (7/26).

He mentions the two sidewalks that will be repaired through KLB compensation fund are approximately 3.5 kilometers. As planned, these sidewalks are located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, from Patung Pemuda until Bendungan Hilir (Krukut River) as long as 2 kilometers. Another sidewalk is located on Jalan Gatot Subroto, from Kartika Chandra Hotel until Ria Senayan Park as long as 1.5 kilometers.

"This is so amazing, from the efficiency of Semanggi Interchange, we can use it for other activities. The sidewalks will be completed with ducting. Thus all the installation of utilities is expected not to damage the repaired sidewalk," he said.

Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. Head, Yusmada Faizal uttered, sidewalk has nine meters on both sides of the road.

"It will be realized in the near future. It's targeted to be executed prior to 2018 Asian Games," he closed.
